Company

In the 1930^th the German Expressionist Hans Thuar (well known in the Rhineland, near Cologne) developed diverse ointments (called Cerapin) for the supportive care of cough, asthma and tuberculosis, on the basis of essential oils and sold those to pharmacies in the region of Cologne and Bonn. Many years later his daughter Gisela married Dr. Wolfang Macke – who is the posterior owner of the company C. Gerhardt GmbH & Co. KG.

The company C. Gerhardt has been engaged in the development, production and distribution of analytical laboratory equipment for more than 160 years. In 2005 C. Gerhardt decided to develop a mixing machine for essential oils, what has been sold several times already and the blends of the great-grandfather can now be produced automatically.

In autumn 2007 a subsidiary company was founded and is now doing business in the international distribution of the Aroma Mixing Machine and works on its constant advancements – the Sensoli GmbH. Additionally to the machines, all equipped with premium essential and base oils in pharmacy quality, Sensoli branded and bottled pure essential oils, carrier oils and blends as well as objects for the room fragrance belong to the variety of goods for the customer.
